About Us

Smith Heritage Surveyors

After several years of working in the private and public sector, we had grown tired of the lack of care given to clients in the search of the next fee and fitting to many surveys and projects into the day. SMH are unique and ambitious creating a really high-level customer-focused practice, that helps break down the snobby and confusing surveyor image by being open and speaking to clients face to face and offering specifically tailored advice. When we decided to become surveyors as young students, we wanted to do so because we felt that people required a person that could give useful advice, that would help them with the biggest purchases and decisions in their lives. We understand that this should not be taken lightly and that as professionals we have a responsibility to give more than just a service to you. No building is the same and no clients needs are the same either. We treat you as individuals and give you as little or as much information as you require in a way that suits you. We are one of over a handful of practices that work weekends and evenings because in this age we know people live busy lives. Therefore, to give our clients the necessary advice we must be there when you need us. We have been lucky enough to have had significant repeat business that tells us what we are doing is right. By offering superior service we are becoming the surveying model of the future and changing the way you see building surveyors.

We believe that paramount to providing a high level of customer service is first a requirement for practical knowledge on how buildings work, then followed up closely by a willingness to use technology to advance our understanding. Our surveyors carry over £10,000 pounds worth of equipment to each appointment. We don't use caveats and ask you to seek clarification from another surveyor. We give useful and clear advice on how to deal with property issues that are based on experience, sound knowledge and onsite analysis.
